- Any family member (self, parents, or spouse) is a permanent/regular government employee (excluding contractual employees). Financial Assistance of PM Internship Scheme
After joining the internship, each intern will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 for the entire 12-month duration. The payment structure is as follows:
- Partner companies will contribute ₹500 each month, contingent on the intern’s attendance and adherence to the company’s policies regarding conduct and performance.
- Following the company’s payment, the Government will transfer ₹4,500 to the intern’s Aadhaar-linked bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer.
- Additionally, the Government of India will grant a one-time payment of ₹6,000 to each intern after they commence their internship. This amount will also be disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) upon joining.
- Each intern will be covered under the Government of India’s insurance schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, with the premium covered by the Government. Furthermore, companies may offer additional accidental insurance coverage to the interns.
