The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is tasked with the formulation, implementation, and review of national policies related to Information Technology, Electronics, and the Internet (excluding the licensing of Internet Service Providers).

Objective of Digital India Internship Scheme
- The Digital India Internship Scheme provides students with practical knowledge in various fields.
- Selected students will have the opportunity to complete their internship in New Delhi.
- Upon successful completion, interns will receive a stipend of up to ₹10,000, which will be directly transferred to their bank accounts.
- The minimum duration of the internship is two months, with the possibility of extending to three months based on performance and Ministry requirements.
Eligibility for Internship Scheme
Indian students from recognized universities in India who meet the following criteria are eligible for the MeitY Digital India Internship Scheme:

Internship Duration
The internship will have a minimum duration of two months, with the possibility of extension up to three months based on the candidate’s performance, the Ministry’s requirements, and the intern’s availability to continue with the Ministry.

List of Documents Required for Digital India Internship Scheme Registration
The following documents are required for the online registration of the Digital India Internship Scheme:
- A recommendation letter from the sponsoring or forwarding institution where the applicant is currently enrolled.
- If the degree marks are reported in CGPA, a letter from the institution explaining the formula used for conversion to percentage.
- A passport-sized photo and a digital signature in formats such as PNG or JPG.
Internship Selection Process
- Interns will be shortlisted and selected by the respective organizations, groups, or divisions based on their specific domains.
- If deemed necessary, personal or Skype interviews may be conducted for the selection process. Please note that no travel allowance (TA) or daily allowance (DA) will be provided to candidates attending the personal interview.
