About National NCD Portal

A software platform has been developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Tata Trusts, and Dell Technologies to support the implementation of Population-Based Screening (PBS) for the prevention, control, screening, and management of common Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). The system includes a tablet/mobile-based application for ASHA and ANM workers and a web-based software for use at PHC, CHC, and District Hospital levels.

Training for the software began in April 2018 with a national-level Training of Trainers (ToT) session, followed by state-level training programs. As of January 20, 2023:

  • 1,08,714 health professionals have been trained on the NCD application across India.
  • A total of 26.23 crore individuals (age 30 and above) have been enrolled in the NCD application.
  • 14.40 crore individuals have been screened, with their records maintained in the system, including aggregate data submitted by states through API integration.
